Engagement is highly linked to student success, yet student engagement drops significantly from elementary to high school. 74% of 5th graders feel engaged in school and that number plummets to 34% by the 12th grade. This “student engagement cliff” causes many students to feel discouraged about their future and disconnect from academic endeavors. However, students who are exposed to entrepreneurial experience and the mindset that is created through them find meaning and purpose in their education. Developing an entrepreneurial mindset in students can transform their lives and greatly increase engagement levels in our schools.

You’re invited to this community keynote featuring Gary Schoeniger, Founder of the Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative & Co-Author of Who Owns the Ice House? Eight Life Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur.
